Oral Care Recycle Program
By offering this initiative in our office, we are giving our patients the opportunity to be able to recycle their old and used oral care products instead of having them end up in the landfill. Our goal is to reach 10,000 recycled plastic oral care products, and with your help we know we can accomplish this!
We accept the following:
- Toothbrushes
- Toothpaste Tubes
- Floss Containers
- Floss Wands/Picks
- Mouthwash Containers
It's as easy as bringing these items with you to your next appointment. You do not have to clean these items, but we do ask that the toothpaste tubes and mouthwash containers are completely empty. Our recycling bin is located right in our reception. If you would like to recycle anything prior to an appointment, you are very welcome to come down anytime.
Are you curious what happens after we recycle these products? Once collected, the oral care products and packaging are sent off to be cleaned and melted into hard plastic that can be remolded to make new recycled products, such as park benches and picnic tables. By offering a recycling program, our patients can participate in reducing plastic oral care products that would otherwise be heading to the Nipawin Landfill.
Trade In Program
Small Changes Create Big Impacts!
Nipawin Dental Centre is offering a very unique opportunity to its patients. It is our Trade In Program, which allows our patients to bring in an old toothbrush, toothpaste tube or floss container. We will replace any item with a new one of similar nature. This is to encourage all our patients not to throw away these old oral care products but hold onto them. When you are coming in for your next appointment or are out doing errands, stop in to recycle that item and receive a new one for free!
The only conditions are that you must be an active patient and have had an appointment within the past 12 months. Hopefully you will join us in trying to keep plastic out of our landfill here in Nipawin!
